Entrepreneurial Prime Movers

Posted by Orrin Woodward on March 1, 2015

Entrepreneurs must move ahead by recognizing opportunities where others only see problems. Interestingly, if the entrepreneur desires a bigger reward, he/she must solve a bigger problem. And this is why entrepreneurs must overcome in the face of great challenges to succeed at the highest levels. Perhaps the best advice I received as an adolescent was from my 3rd grade teacher Mr. Luoma, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” Combine this with the Great Commandment to love God with all your heart and soul and love others as yourself and the new entrepreneur is off to a great start!

Here is a segment of a talk on entrepreneurial prime movers.

Sincerely,

Orrin Woodward – LIFE Leadership Chairman of the Board

    Hi Orrin!

As Claude has told me “play hurt”, in other words when things are tuff keep your head up and keep going. Great leaders are good at playing hurt.

    God bless,
    Chad

    Hi Orrin,

Great point on how people respond to the entrepreneur making millions of dollars. People who don’t understand how money is made believe that there is a finite amount of money and it should be socialistically shared with the masses. What they don’t understand is that entrepreneurs understand that there in an infinite amount of money to be made. He who does the work to bless the customer will make the most profit.

Your wisdom abounds yet is shared simplistically for the 95%. I truly appreciate all the work you are doing to bless the customer base and independent members of LIFE Leadership.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Good evening, Orrin,
It is a strange phenomenon that people envy the entrepreneur’s success and want to share in his wealth but do not want to share in the losses of those who risked it all and lost. Also, they covet the wealthy person wealth, but also want the job to build his house he spends it on and complain as to why they “need” such luxury. Some years ago the government levied a huge luxury tax on yachts and planes with the result that all the yachts building went off shore and the owners chartered them in more friendly countries. The result was the exact opposite of that intended. Oh, and the production of private planes was virtually shut down. The free market freely makes adjustments on its own and all prosper.

Who motivates the motivator? Self-inspiration. Good answer to a good question. And your passion for history shows in how your ability to tie the past to the present, in this case Aristotle. Thanks for your great teaching. 🙂

Orrin … great message! “An entrepreneur is someone who blesses the world.”
and I was thinking of what Martin Luther King said when I was listening to your message …
“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience,
but where he stands at times of challenge & controversy.”
    Let’s bless the world!
    Peace Harvey

Phenomenal leadership snippet. Being a cop I am motivated by helping people, no one has to help motivate. Understanding Romans 13 and Society is enough. I am slowly changing my mindset to be a real help with Life Leadership….Rock on

  11. Prime Mover baby! I love it! Thanks Orrin!
