LIFE Business Winter Leadership Conventions
Posted by Orrin Woodward on January 21, 2013
The LIFE Business Winter Leadership Conventions kicked off last weekend in Louisville and will continue in Ottawa and California (total attendees have grown nearly 1,000 in three months!) next weekend. Three leadership conventions over two weekends for the fastest growing leadership communities is a must! Here were my highlights from the weekend. First, the crowd had a level of belief that I haven’t seen in years. So many people were recognized for new achievements, and goals were set for 2013. Starting with the Thursday night RT meeting, every speaker brought his or her A-game. Second, the groups were having fun, an essential part of any winning team. The LIFE business focuses on having fun, making money, and making a difference—in that order. We know that when groups have fun, they make more money and ultimately make a bigger difference. Third, the new PowerPlayer Top Guns Felmar and Sandra Montenegro were fantastic! They had just missed winning several times, but this cycle, they broke through to win! GREAT JOB!
Last, but certainly not least, the New PC Recognition of Wayne and Raylene MacNamara topped my highest expectations! Seeing the love, passion, and belief they poured into the crowd was the highlight of my weekend. In addition, the genuine love and respect they have for Claude and Lana Hamilton brought tears to my eyes. LIFE is so much fuller when enjoyed with true friends who love and serve one another. The Hamilton’s and MacNamara’s relationship displays all of this. I will wait until after the Ottawa Leadership Convention to show pictures of the McNamaras on stage, but I will show this picture of Claude and Lana listening intently to their new PC couple. Interestingly, the McNamaras were Turbo 10 when they joined the Team Training System after nearly three years in the profession, and now, just over five years later, they are PCs!! LIFE has kicked it into high gear in 2013. What did the Leadership Conventions do for you? What were your highlights?
Sincerely,

It was such an amazing feeling being there. I have been to many Majors, but this was my first one that I had 4 first time team mates from my second team. A team that is so on fire and ready to run big!!! When I had seen PC’s being recongized in the past, I pictured my husband and I up there being as new PCs. But this time was different. I saw my self in Claude and Lana spot this time, and the feeling of my team mates as PCs. When you have these great relationships forming, you want to run for their victories all so much more.
This is SO REAL!!!! GOD IS GOOD!!!
Side note:
Raylene McNamara dress was AMAZING!!!! It was my favorite ever!!! But I was looking to see the shoes. LOL.

Orrin, the Louisville major was such a memorable experience! You are so right – you can tell how tight the bond is between the Hamiltons and the MacNamaras. No wonder Wayne & Raylene made a CD about tight relationships!!! The theme of the weekend was believing in yourself, improving yourself, and the 3 keys to the business (listen, read, and associate). How easy to do, but how easy not to do!
Thanks for all you and the PC do for us to simplify the opportunity!

It was an amazing weekend! Thank you so much for all the time and effort that went into planning this event! Wayne and Raylene was defiantly the highlight ! The relationships built here are like no other and no amount of money could buy! Each speaker brought their message with such relatability! Just some of the things that stood out to me were- Laurie Woodward talked about Living a disciplined life creates real peace! Terri Brady “when you encourage you are actually putting courage in someone! Chris Bradys talk on How to Speak Life could totally transform our work place, home, church etc! Lisa Hawkins talk on “Sometimes you have to shift gears” was a great analogy for life! Also loved Orrin’s talk on subway vs metropolitan was very impactful and so true – “There is a broken heart inside of everyone who will take the time to listen to them!” Thanks again to the policy council of life ! One million is just the first stop!

Thank you Orrin and PC for these amazing events! The major is where I became a member of the LIFETEAM. And they continue to be that kind of event for me. I went into the major committed to go the extra mile in every thing I do (thank you Militellos for that seminar) I am super excited to add Pause…Pray…Ponder…Proceed to my daily life (I was in the tool room for that one and my awesome husband made sure I got that message. Thank you Steve!). The things that you learn and bond with being around your group are not easy to describe and I would not trade them for anything. This major was a turning point for me and meant so much more to me than what I have written here. You all know that feeling. I am thankful for all of you and look forward to the future with you guys! God bless you!

This major was definitely the start of an amazing chapter in all of our lives. You have created the ‘rosetta stone’ to enable people to learn how to ‘speak LIFE’! This weekend removed doubts and replaced them with Wonder. Lots of hearts are beating again, including mine.
Thanks to you and Laurie and the rest of the pc for everything you have done, and continue to do~

Huge CONGRATS to Wayne and Raylene! The peaceful, joyful smile on Raylene’s face and the giant smile on Wayne’s face says it all! Dream, struggle VICTORY! You could see the joy of completing an amazing LIFE victory in their beautiful smiles. They weren’t thinking of the sacrifice or the struggle- you could tell they were thinking WORTH IT! Very happy for them and all their Kaizen brothers and sisters! AWESOME!

I believe that God has great things in store for those of us who commit to serving others through the LIFE business. Every speaker shared from their hearts which makes us know why we do this. Thanks to the PC’s and PC wives for your character, caring and dedication to excellence as well as being awesome examples of the 8 F’s. That is part of the system to be copied and repeated as we strive to become better leaders and make relationships work. Amazing weekend! Every minute was so worth the lack of sleep!

I love Major conventions – it’s a shot of just what I need, just when I need it!! I loved Dan’s reminder to have a business kit on hand so when you sign up a new person, you can promote everything in the kit. I was in a different business years ago and when the boxes showed up, I had no idea what to do or how to get started. I lasted less than a year. Thanks to Dan’s talk, I was reminded of this and immediately went to the tool room so when I sign up my new business partner this week, I’ll be ready!!!
Great job to all of PC for an exciting weekend and to Wayne & Raylene for achieving their goal – the visual of them on stage was a tremendous dream building exercise for the rest of us!!

In looking back, the fighting was the highlight. My wife and I have been growing individually over the past 7 months in so many ways thanks to the LIFE Business. But not necessarily together. That became obvious on both Friday AND Saturday night after getting back to our rooms. We’ve been growing closer but there has been a major issue that’s been obstructing our progress and we had to face it this weekend. Bluntly – Love and Respect for each other. In the past, the kind of fights we had would have been avoided or ended with me beating my car up again. But the Team, it’s purpose, the Founders, the role models, the mentoring, the life changing information, the environment, the community of positive caring people, the accountability to others on our team who are watching us, the desire to win and learn how to lead my family… Everything that’s at stake! I could go on and on. This weekend helped us get on the path that my wife and I have been seeking and we’re finally ready for. There’s no one specific thing. It was all so fantastic. But getting time and wisdom from our mentors, Mark and Rita Haas was crucial for our business and marital growth. Thanks to them for their example and guidance. Watching them on stage Saturday was awesome, but they really knocked it out of the park on Sunday! Fired up!!! Here’s to a better marriage, a bigger community, and a brighter future. It’s time to start winning.

Somehow the LIFE community has done it again, they made the convention even better! I would personally like to welcome Wayne and Raylene to the Policy Council their years of learning, persistence and dedication will add so much value to this group.

Words can’t describe this last convention. Michelle and I stood on the side of the stage when the MacNamaras were recognized. There was a shower of flowers that came from the crowd that eventually covered the stage. I stood there in awe of what they have accomplished. I pictured Michelle and I up there. What we would say, how we would react to the overwhelming outpouring of love and support. As we go out into the world to share the LIFE opportunity, we have another example, among thousands, that dreams really do come true. Matt

This was my first major and I was awed by how incredible it was! Nothing like I expected!! The love of Jesus Christ could be felt throughout Freedom Hall and Chris Brady’s sermon Sunday morning was fantastic! I took page after page after page of notes to read again and to share with my team members who couldn’t be there. One of the best moments if the weekend was meeting Terri Brady and having my picture taken with her and another team member!! She is an inspiring woman! The entire weekend was so inspiring!! I will be Power Player by February seminar!!

I had a fantastic time at the winter leadership conference. Unfortunately I got hit with the stomach bug around 3 pm on Saturday so I missed Wayne and Raylene’s recognition and everything in between. But thankfully Facebook had me covered. Everyone posted all the highlights of the talks and even a video of their recognition. Although its not live and in person I’m still up to date. I can’t wait to hear the CDs come down on system. Not sure I can wait until June to get around all of the leaders again.. Guess the CDs will just have to do. 🙂 Thank you so much for having the courage and persistence to follow through with your dreams so others like me can get a REAL education without going broke. I can’t wait until our Freedom to focus day is here. We’ve put a date on it and fully intend on running our guts out to accomplish it! Thanks again and God bless!!

It was an amazing weekend from all angles. I LOVED your subway to metropolitan talk, and it was obvious that it stuck with everyone who referred to “leaving the subway” for the rest of the weekend. I can practically see it as a job description:
Them: “So what do you do?”
Me: “I teach people how to leave the subway and play in the metropolitan like they were meant to.” hehe!
Dan’s talk about the artist who “could have been,” and Laurie’s talk about No reservation, No regrets was perfectly pointed. The clincher of the weekend was of course the recognition for MacNamaras. What phenomenal speakers – even as “new” to the PC team!! He had me crying (again) when he talked about seeing his #87 (Claude) turning around and coming back onto the ice; because I know there were a lot of 87’s in the crowd listening, who will inspire many to millions in the future to become all who God meant them to be.
Of course, the biggest impact is always the Sunday morning worship service. Singing in the choir is a double blessing of worship, but hearing the Word taught so clearly and humbly by Chris was moving. I will never read Moses again without thinking about the trick with his hand – and what a reminder that Moses’s God is the God we worship today.
Thanks for all you do!

I have been to a few majors now and this one felt so different. For the first time in my live, i have experienced what it is to be humbled. At a meeting after the meeting I asked my team what there “why” was. Learning about what people really want our of this. It was so touching and gives me a reason to go build this. I wish i would have brought a box of Klennex with me…PDCA for next time ha ha. More than just building a business, helping others as well which is most important. I am so bless that i got shown this opportunity. This past weekend really opened my eyes to what Orin’s vision, giving everyone who enters the business and equal opportunity.
I am so grateful for someone having the courage to show me this information about the LIFE business. I am so grateful for all the people i have met and can call my friends. I am so grateful to see where this business is going and how many lives it is going to change. I am so grateful for my leaders for not giving up on me in this business. This business is going to give me the life that i have always wanted! This business gives people the chance that they thought they lost. I am so fired up about it. ACTION cures fear! Who wants to be FREE, who wants to make a difference in this world, who wants the LIFE they have always wanted!
Thank you so much

Every Major Convention just gets better, and I always feel like I get exactly what I need — what God wants me to get — every time. Chris Brady’s “Lifesafer” talk especially hit me in a most enlightening and helpful way given where I am in my journey right now. The belief, enthusiasm, and love pouring out from the community’s leaders to us all touched me beyond words. And I’m unable to say anything about the overwhelming inspiration I received from Wayne and Raylene — and everyone’s reaction(s) — except, “Please pass me a BOX of tissues!” Fired up!! 🙂

It was an absolute fantastic weekend – all the speakers and each of their topics touched every part of my life. I love the fact that there are real people speaking from their true heart on stage not from some fake script written like the media. I also love the fact that each of them are inspired by a great and loving God to go into the world and share truth. 😀

Hi Orrin
Do you think it’s possible to go Power Player to PC in 12-18 months? Listening to Wayne and Raylene Saturday night got me thinking, so I drew it out on paper last night.
It looks like if I have the guts to go Power Player EVERY month, and break power players in multiple legs every month, 18-month PC is the outcome.
This weekend helped me decide it’s time to get off the bench and into the game. I’m with you for the rest of my life, all the way to the end.
God bless

Some of my favorites were: all the little meetings after the meeting and in between the meeting with just our group — I LOVE MY TEAM! Also, Chris Brady’s “Life Savor” talk was awesome, meeting one on one with Mark McDonald in the hall and him giving specifics to help me in my personal fitness journey, Dan and Lisa fired me up because I picture me and Matt everytime (they have 3 girls and so do we…), the first time the Woodwards took the stage – the song they came out to alone spoke volumes of this couple and I cried before they even said a word!, I loved the Hamiltons and the McNamaras on stage for the PC recognition and my favorite part of that was them thanking Orrin and seeing him tear up! What a business we have in our laps! I love that when one couple/person wins it is directly connected to someone else winning! WOW, BRING ON 2013!

You can feed your elephant big peanuts watching Claude & Lana Hamilton welcome their new PCs to the the inner circle! Watching you put that ring on Wayne’s finger and Laurie give Raylene the necklace was extra special.
Ken & I came back with more belief and we always say this is the best major ever and they keep getting better and better!
We have Double Power players, Bart & Meriel Springer attending the Ottawa, Canada major next weekend and can’t wait to hear what they have to say!
Orrin we love you and Laurie and can never thank you enough for all you do for us!
We know with God’s help we will be joining the PC inner circle and be able to make a difference in so many lives.

Amazing Major! First: Much appreciation to LIFE Support/The Office for everything they do – I always volunteer when the Major is local, and while it wasn’t this time, I know that anyone who did + those folks working for Rob H, are gold medal class 🙂 Second: Thank you to the entire PC for what you all do!
Some personal highlights – The Bradys talks; both of them were world class. The Sunday service. Your talk on Saturday evening – the ‘Metropolitan & the Subway’ was such a fantastic theme! And, top of the top was the PC Recognition. Terry had us come down to show our support to our cross line Kaizen brother Wayne & our sister, Raylene 😀 It was a wonderful experience being on the ground level so close to the stage; the ventilation system needed some work – too much dust caused eye leakage 😉 😉
