Biography

Guinness World Record Holder

Guinness World Record Holder

Inc Magazine’s Top 20 Leader and Top 100 SpeakerOrrin Woodward is NY Times/WSJ bestselling co-author of  Launching a Leadership Revolution with Chris Brady and LeaderShift with Oliver DeMille. In 2014, he set the Guinness World Record for largest book signing ever with the release of And Justice For All: The Quest for Concord. His first solo book RESOLVED: 13 Resolutions for LIFE made the Top 100 All-Time Best Leadership Books List and the 13 resolutions are the framework for the top selling Mental Fitness Challenge personal development program.

Orrin has co-founded two multi-million dollar leadership companies and serves as the Chairman of the Board of the LIFE. He has a B.S. degree from GMI-EMI (now Kettering University) in manufacturing systems engineering. In addition, he attended University of Michigan’s prestigious MBA program, completing half of the requirements for his MBA before leaving school to start his entrepreneurial ventures. As an engineer, Orrin was awarded four U.S.A. patents and won an exclusive National Technical Benchmarking Award. He follows the sun between residences in Florida and Michigan with his wife and children.

New Book: EXPOSED: The Financial Matrix

EXPOSED promises to be Orrin’s most impactful book to date. Based upon his personal experiences and over twenty years of research, this book exposes the force matrices, which the elites have used throughout history to capture the production of the masses. Anyone working to service debt ought to read and apply the principles to protect his family and escape the matrix.

The defining moment in my (and my co-founders of LIFE) leadership journey was the decision to choose principles over profits and risk losing everything. Although we had already built a net worth of tens of millions of dollars, we put it all to on the line to defend the principles we hold sacred, namely, liberty, truth, free markets. After all, how can a person be authentic if he teaches these principles while not living them personally. The years between 2007 through 2010 were some of the most challenging and yet also some of the most rewarding of my life. Indeed, nothing helped me understand the matrices of control as much as witnessing the process first hand as a billion dollar company sought to control the hypocritically-named independent business owners.

First, I learned that most American businesses are not practicing the principles of free markets and bold entrepreneurship. Instead, large corporations use their power with government and the press to block new entrepreneurs from climbing the mountain they have already staked out. Second, because true leaders stand against injustice, I attempted to address the issues head on by speaking directly to the owners of the cartel-like system. Not surprisingly, this led to increasing attacks on my character since, invariably, when the elites (or their anonymous hit men) cannot defend their message, they default to  attacking the messenger. Of course, because I am proud of our organization for doing the right thing, we happily share our story so people can make an educated decision on who the LIFE Leadership founder are, what we stand for, and what our purpose is.

I love free enterprise and reward for services rendered to customer concept. Unfortunately, however, most Big Businesses have created a culture that rewards credentialists (who create value for the powers-brokers by obeying orders) rather than corporate creators (who create value for consumers by innovating). True innovation, in effect, is not rewarded in the cartels because credentialists promote other credentialist and drive out creators.

For instance, does anyone remember the story of how Sam Walton was driven out of Franklin Five and Dime because he had too many ideas and didn’t follow the company line when it was ineffective? How about Steve Jobs when he was kicked out of his own company (Apple) the first time? Dismally, each of these is an example of how Big Businesses, Big Governments and Big Banks, partner together to create Crony Capitalism – a system of cartels designed to profit the elites at the masses expense.

Ironically, I would have never discovered the Elites Matrices of Control playbook (Financial Matrix, Feudal Matrix, and Physical Matrix) had I not lived through this experience myself. Apparently, God reveals His deepest truths when people are in the deepest of waters.

Blog Etiquette

Since everything rises and falls on leadership, I will discuss leadership concepts throughout the blog. In my opinion, the ability to learn and apply proper principles at the right time is essential for success in life and business. Ideas have consequences and the goal of this blog is to discuss ideas of consequence. Some ideas you may agree with and some you may disagree.

The rules of this blog are simple. Discuss in a civil manner and maintain emotional intelligence even if someone disagrees with you. Indeed, people who attack others only prove they have reached the limit of their logic. However, legitimate discussion is always welcome as the Bible states, “Iron sharpens iron” and the goal is to sharpen one another by discussing what we have thought, written, and read.

The more we can learn, follow, and share truth in every area of our lives, the more we can give back to others. I encourage you to join our leadership discussion and help change the world one person at a time. Like the Bible states, “Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”  Sincerely, Orrin Woodward

    Hey Orrin,
This is Dan Castro, author of CRITICAL CHOICES THAT CHANGE LIVES.
I’m half-way through with my second book called HIDDEN SOLUTIONS ALL AROUND US: WHY SOME PEOPLE CAN SEE THEM AND SOME CAN’T

I’m doing research to determine why it is that some people can see solutions and opportunities that are invisible to others.
I’d love to interview you, as I think you’d be a great addition to my book.

I’ve already interviewed such entrepreneurial legends as:
Herb Keller – founder of SW Airlines
Red McCombs – former owner of the Minnesota Vikings and the San Antonio Spurs
Roy Spence – founder of GSD&M (one of Bill Clinton’s best friends)
Gary Hoover – founder of Book Stop, which eventually became Barnes & Noble.

I’ve also done five years of research into the lives of great innovators and entrepreneurs who lived over the last several thousand years.
I don’t know how to contact you. So I’m leaving you this post.
    Anyway, please email me

Looking forward to talking to you again.

    Take care,
    Dan

    Orrin,
I just wanted to let you know that during the course of the past 2 months, your leadership/personal development information has drastically changed my life…and obviously for the better. I’ve always had this feeling that whatever I did it just wasn’t what I was supposed to be doing with my life. Now, after digging into the information (LIFE subscription, LLR subscription, and the MFC), I finally have “detected” my purpose in life. So much of why I felt like I did makes sense to me now. Since reprogramming myself with success thinking principles, I am a changed man. I have proposed to my girlfriend of 3 years, and…finally KNOW why I loved just positively affecting the lives of kids. I THOUGHT I wanted to be a history teacher, but after facing “the walls of the system,” I have realized that there is little true HOPE in public education. Unfortunately, it too has been affected with the complacency virus and through a system of standardization has DISabled our students to THINK for themselves anymore. It’s all about WHAT they need to know, not HOW. I believe, just as you and Oliver DeMille do, that this is just wrong. If I truly want to affect lives for the better, there is no better place to begin than with you and LIFE! And I mean this with all my heart! Thank you for showing me that there is hope of a better tomorrow for my son and there is hope in this all-too negative culture of ours. Even thought I faced GREAT opposition from my family when my girlfriend (now fiance) and I decided to become members of LIFE, I just knew I had to change my thinking if I was going to change my life for the better. Your books like Resolved, Rascal, and Launching a Leadership Revolution have affected me enough that I now live my life with this manifesto running through my mind daily:

    My Mission Statement/Manifesto
I, Jeff Taff, take it upon myself to help restore America’s founding principles through the re-education of “truth and success,” house by house, family by family, student by student…in order to fulfill my destiny. Combining my mind, heart, and will, I am changing this world for the better. I understand that my integrity and character will be challenged along my journey, but my courage to address wrongs in the face of fear shall always prevail. I vow to remain positive in my attitude toward my quest for truth. No excuse shall be made as failure is simply not an option. I expect, and will accomplish this goal, leading to a “Refor-vival-sance” in America, and leaving this world a better place than when I entered. This is my purpose, my mission in life, and it will be…my lasting legacy!

Again, thanks for everything man! It is truly appreciated and much needed in our society. You are truly the LEADER of all leaders in my book!
    -Jeff

Where Has Our LOVE of Learning Gone?

As I’ve read many of the LIFE Leaders’ blogs during the course of the past couple hours, I’ve come to the realization that our natural love of learning has been sucked right out of us…and we didn’t even know it happened! Do you remember yourself at a young age? Do you remember how fun school used to be when you were in your early elementary years? I bet you displayed a hunger for new knowledge and actually had a joy of learning back then. But where did it go? Who stole that precious gift from you? Where has your passion and purpose gone? Somewhere in the process of then…and now, our zest for learning has been zapped like a June-bug flying into a bug zapper while you’re out camping in the back woods. What ever happened to the plan of working hard, getting good grades, going to college, and getting a good job with benefits? Just like the untimely death of the June-bug, it is DEAD!

In our current state of society, similar to the poor June-bug who flew into the light of death, there too is a deceitful light of death at the end of the tunnel. Things do not look pretty for our country’s future and SOMETHING needs to be done fast to fix this problem before it’s too late! Why doesn’t anyone change the “wrong” and reinstall the “right” back into our world? As Orrin Woodward says, “This is the LIFE business goal, to bring passion and purpose back into people’s lives. By creating a leadership community, the goal is to reach people where they are at, teaching them principles, that if applied, would change their lives forever. We are on a mission to find the hungry masses, helping them to discover their God-given potential, passion, and purpose. LIFE is a plan to reach the people with truth in the 8F’s, knowing that a remnant exist in the living rooms of the world; a remnant who are sick and tired of being sick and tired. This is the exact spot that my wife Laurie and I were in. We were sick and tired of being sick and tired. We wanted changes and were willing to change ourselves if needed in order to accomplish it. In today’s battered economic conditions, people need real hope for the future like never before in America’s history. Real hope begins with changes on the inside before things can change on the outside.” Hmmm…it’s time we began to change ourselves before we begin to demand it of others!
    -Jeff Taff

Yesterday my wife corrected me again and I got annoyed and told her I didn’t need to be corrected…but you being one of the BEST speakers in the world just thanked Brian and advised him to email you with any more corrections…I have been in ministry since 1996 I still have a lot to learn….I just got into the Life Business two months ago…I am SCARED to Life…. I am unemployed but my wife is sustaining us at this time and it sucks ! I’ve done other home based businesses but non have prospered..when I got into Life my wife wasn’t too happy…but I have resolved to do this …I just pray that all of this will help me build a community of believers…I shared with my up line that this is the “new church” and I want 1Million members…My prayer is that I get my wife on board…but even if she don’t come around I will do all I can to change “our” lives…I didn’t mean to say all of this but I was on a roll…Orrin I hope to meet you one day after you read my reply …Thanks for the hope

“How I Became Rich Before 30 and How You Can Too
    From Mashable”

    By Aaron Pitman1 day ago
If there is one universal truth, it’s that everyone is looking to get rich quick. This probably explains why so many people are willing to believe there’s a Nigerian prince out there with their email address, ready and willing to mail them money. Truth is, whether looking for your dream job or starting up a new company, too many young people are looking to strike gold as quickly and easily as possible.
As someone who made my first million before I turned 30, the question of how to become a young millionaire often arises. Unfortunately, I don’t know of any magic pill to take or button to press to become instantly successful.
For starters, I followed the 10,000 hour rule of mastering any subject, deferring parties in college to spend sleepless nights working on business plans with a select group of other broke overachievers. Along with my 13 other roommates, I spent most of my formative “party” years working hard, mastering skills and eating a lot of Ramen noodles.
I know it’s possible to become wealthy early in life if you have the drive, determination and ambition to succeed. Here are a few tips that helped me achieve success and just might help you, too.
    Confess and Attack
As a young worker, most people will see your age as your biggest hurdle and most pressing handicap. But the truth is that your youth just might be your biggest advantage.
So many of the people I networked with and contacted were older (sometimes much older) than myself. Often, these people knew they wanted to get hooks into the online space but just didn’t understand how the game was played online. They were actually looking for someone hungry and motivated, but best of all, they were looking for someone who had grown up around technology and understood the market.
Still, there is definitely a real perceived disadvantage to being a young and “inexperienced” worker or entrepreneur. This is when I began to formulate my “confess and attack” strategy. I would tell potential business partners the fairly evident truth: I’m young. But this doesn’t mean I don’t know what I’m doing or that I haven’t put in the time and energy to become an expert in my field.
Once I confessed what we both knew and explained my skills, I would attack their preconceived notions. I would push the conversation back to them, explaining if they weren’t comfortable with me or my team after understanding my skills, then perhaps we weren’t a good business fit.
I took back control of the situation and found business partners who actually believed in me and my ability to succeed, instead of jittery investors ready to bail at the first signs of trouble.
Your Socializing Can Determine Your Success
As a young job seeker or entrepreneur, your network is key. Think of the old saying, “Show me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are.” This is as true for the business world as it was when your mom said it about that one friend you had in high school who was always trying to get you to skip class.
According to motivational speaker Jim Rohn, we are the average of the five people we chose to spend the most time with. We will often emulate the people we’re closest to and, if those people are successful, your own chances of success rise in proportion.
If your five closest companions are highly motivated and successful individuals, these traits will likely spur you to work even harder. In fact, a study showed people who shared goals with others were 33 percent more likely to achieve those goals.
In my own experience, spending time with successful people has allowed me to meet interesting individuals and expand my professional network. The relationships I’ve fostered have been sincere, allowing me to help others as much as they offer guidance and support.
For instance, I had a contact at the NFL who introduced me to a former player he knew who was influential in our industry. We shared business ideas and became fast friends. One night, I got a call from this player inviting me to attend a party he was throwing.
Once at his gathering, I had the opportunity to connect with many influential and successful people. In college, I didn’t spend much time socializing because I was putting in my 10,000 hours, now I was chatting with a well-known tennis star. A big part of my current social life is surrounding myself with successful people who understand what I’m working toward and can attempt to help me reach my goals. Connecting with the right movers and shakers is extremely effective for allowing you to see what direction your own path to success might take.
Unfortunately for us all, money doesn’t fall out of the sky or grow on trees. The good news, however, is that nothing is holding you back from being successful at a young age. You just need to work hard, have confidence in your abilities, and surround yourself with positive and successful people.
What do you think? Were you successful at a young age? How did you achieve it? Share in the comments!

Orrin, I am a new member to Life, and went to my first open in Wisconsin May 10th a 2 weeks after I signed on, when I did this I did it with a total and complete leap of faith! I had no clue who you were or what Life Leadership was about or how any of it worked. All I knew was my friends were totally fired up!
My grandmother owns a flower shop and every year at the holidays I help her, Mother’s Day week is one of our busiest holidays, and I risked the wrath of Grandma and my Aunt as well as my boss at my other job to skip town and come see you with my friends. And I have to tell you … It was the best thing I have done for myself in a very long time!!! Listening to you and your wife Lorrie was phenomenal! I went from laughing to tears in a matter of minutes, and loved listening to all of you! I absolutely love the books and cd’s and all the materials, i love the support from my team members and upline. It is changing my life everyday. It has inspired me to be the best I can be!
I am a single mom of 3 kids, my son just graduated from high school and he is just beginning to listen to the cds, my 15 yr. old daughter I don’t see much of recently due to teenage love and a 6 yr. old daughter who is the center of my world! I would love to spend more time with all them and build better relationships with them but being single parent has put a strain on me financially, as well as time constraints due to working usually a part-time job and a few side jobs, and when I heard you say on one of your cds to spend quality time with your child, don’t answer the phone, I cannot be reached really hit home. I have been learning to do this daily. Thank you.
I am also up for a promotion at my job, and after putting myself through college for 5 years, I am working as a housekeeper in a hotel. Its honest work, its hard work, and I am looking very forward to my new position. I have been reading your Leadership books, and yesterday I showed my boss the corporate pack plan. She seemed very interested, I plan to fully incorporate the materials to my co workers, as the job is just a stepping stone for most and I hope to inspire and motivate each person I meet personally and professionally by the way you have inspired me and gave me hope again that I can reach my dreams. I thank the Lord each day for my friends who introduced Life to me, and God Bless You and your team for the message you spreading! God Bless and God Speed

    Hi Orrin

I hope things are great with you and Laurie!!!!! Because of your public standing, I’m able to cyber stalk(lol!) you guys. Whether it’s chasing a dream with the house your building, breaking book signing records, or making Inc.com’s leader list, I’m so proud of you!

I didn’t ever really get the chance to thank you for your personal investment in me. The times you deserve recognition for blessings in my life are endless. I am very aware that you would say “it’s all me”, but the fact of the matter is your encouragement and influence is what paved the road. I really wanted to take a minute and give you some examples.

Obviously the most important is my relationship with Christ. In hind site, he has always been there for me even though I ignored him. Then you ask a simple question on the way back from a bait shop in Fort Myers. “How’s your Faith?” I remember my answer and it was embarrassing. That question compounded with a Sunday open service at the Breslin Center, broke the flood gates. I am absolutely convinced Jesus put you in my life to bring me back to him. We look forward to church on Sundays. To see my future step son excited about church is priceless. I read from the bible most days and Jesus is in my heart. I’m eternally grateful for your courage to ask that question!

My relationships are the best they’ve ever been. I’m closer today with all family members, than I was 10 years ago. Without the Team’s(now LIFE) influence, I wouldn’t be getting married this Saturday. Yes you read that right. Jen and I would never had made it without all those men’s leaderships. Whether it’s my Dad, Mom, Step Mom, brothers, friends, employees or customers relationships, all are better today because of the Team.

The financial end isn’t even comparable to 10 years ago. The IRS debt is gone, we pay cash for cars and I use banks instead of them me. The IRS debt was so large, it seemed insurmountable. Again a comment from you gave me the courage to tackle it. I had told you my issue during lunch at YaYa’s in Grand Blanc. You dismissed it as no big deal and expressed the belief I would move past it. Honestly I was shocked. Like did you hear what I just said? I left there believing you believed I could. That combined with Faith and determination, got it done! Once that passed, I felt like i was set free. Through God’s blessing, smart finances and strong relationships, my business has shown 30%+ growth 4 years in a row. Building this business has become something I love doing. I have a very good business mentor in place. It’s funny to think I used to want to be the magic. Without the Team, I would have never learned the humility it takes to accept mentorship.

I could seriously go on and on. The ripples of your influence in our lives is never ending. I truly love you and Laurie and am extremely blessed for the opportunity to associate with you both. Keep dreaming!

    Your friend
    Greg

  23. Hello Orrin:

I am a LIFE Series subscriber for 2 years now. I’ve been listening to LIFE CDs and reading books. And now I’m applying the principles of LIFE Leadership.
Thanks to you and all the speakers and writers from LIFE Leadership because I found my purpose to build the best and most inspiring website where people can share, inspire and celebrate LIFE stories. The website is storiestoliveby.com

I have the passion and fun of building the website. I know my potentials as software engineer, and I love learning new stuff about website development which is not my area in software development. Hopefully my passion and potentials will bring some profits. And from my purpose, I can leave a legacy for future generations to read stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

Like what I wrote in the article “Vision The Long Shot” at storiestoliveby.com/story/vision-long-shot — I’m not getting the results that I projected, so I’m back to the square 1 in the PDCA model. This is the reason I’m writing you now because I believe if you don’t ask, you will not get:

    1. I learn from research on Search Engine Optimization (SEO), the currency of Google, Bing, and Yahoo searches is INBOUND LINKS which are links from websites that point to my website which will gain Google’s trust. If the links is from a Trusted websites likes yours and the rest of the LIFE Leadership speakers bloggers, my website will earn TrustRanks which will make my website appear in the top 10 list of the search. The referring website is considered Trusted if they don’t ask payments for links.
My request to LIFE Leadership bloggers is to put my website link storiestoliveby.com to their websites. In return, I will dedicate a page or section for all LIFE Leadership bloggers that will promote their websites.

    2. Like a shot in the arm, may I request that you and (maybe) all of the LIFE Leadership speakers to write a story in my website. In return, you can make me a living example of LIFE Leadership follower who became successful. I know you have many materials in your talk already, but you can probably use some stories from an unknown guy like me.

Thank you and God Bless us,

    Tonie S.

Hey Orrin, you just raised the bar AGAIN, with the Leadership talk you gave tonight in Dallas. Sharing more of your personal struggles overcoming self esteem and confidence issues just added even more belief for so many of us. “I can so relate to his story!” was said by a number of people on our team. Watching you build belief in so many people tonight inspires/compels me to try and do the same.

And hearing the three circles of man message, alone made it worth doing whatever it took to get here. Thank you again for sharing your ever expanding vision.

Mr. Brady,I completely utrndseand where you are coming from with your story here. Fitness is the first F I attacked due to the influence of this amazing and encouraging community. Even after months of habitually running multiple times a week, it was still a constant mental battle. After I had seen considerable results and started thinking about what happened mentally, I realized that it does completely transfer into every other F. It’s a dream, commitment, and mental toughness to follow through for any area of one’s life. The mental fitness challenge helps generate a focus and intensifies specific intent. Thank you for your unceasing service, amazing leadership, hilarious stories, and sprezzatura.

    Orrin,
We’ve been Life members for 2 1/2 yrs now and have been seriously applying the financial principles the last 6 months. We also got sucked into the Time Share in St Martin…we really don’t want to get rid of it, but it’s a ridiculous expense that we don’t need! How did you get rid of yours? Did you “sell” it back to them, or just let it go? The selfish part of me doesn’t want to cut that awesome week, but it’s dumb to have it right now, when we’re trying to get the rest of our finances under control. Advise please!!!

We used it for a promotion for leaders on year 10. We didn’t use and would have lost if we wouldn’t have gone on year 10 so we used all of them and this started Fun-n-the-Sun! 🙂

    Orrin,
I was a life member for 2 years and have recently ended that membership. I just wanted to Thank you for all your inspiring words on CD’s and in the life books. I am really grateful to being introduced to Life Leadership. Before Life it was 40 years since I sat down and read a book now I have a book in every room and in my purse and I read every day. Life Leadership truly changed my Life. I was able to leave my negative job and am now positive every day and have a much happier outlook on life. I have also started reading my bible and feel much closer to God now. I am currently looking to find my
Purpose in life and pay off 2 debts that we still have so we can be financially free. With Gods help and the Life products I continue to use I know I will have a much better life. I do feel however that my decision was wrong to discontinue my membership. I guess I will see what the future holds.
You and Laurie have been my favorite speakers from the beginning. Thanks for your inspiration and God bless.
